Roll-Off Dumpster Rental across Dothan and the Wiregrass
Every job we do is a roll-off: a large, rectangular, open-top container delivered by a specialized truck that rolls it onto your driveway, property or job site, sits there while you fill it, and goes back on the truck when you call. It is a temporary waste solution for a project — one delivery, one pickup plan — built for large amounts of debris without repeated trips to a disposal site. This page is about the box itself: the sizes, the weight, the space it needs and what the price covers.
The yard is at 1950 Wise Dr, Dothan, AL 36303 — inside the City of Dothan, Houston County, just off Ross Clark Circle near Headland Avenue. Approximate road miles from the yard: central Dothan about 2, Kinsey about 5, Webb about 7, Cowarts and Midland City about 9, Headland about 10, Ashford about 12, Rehobeth about 13, Newton about 14, Cottonwood about 17, Slocomb about 18, Columbia about 20, Gordon and Ozark about 22, Hartford about 24, Abbeville about 25 and Enterprise about 31.

How a roll-off works
The truck backs in and sets the container on the spot you agreed. You load it over the open top, keeping everything level with or below the top edge — an overfilled dumpster cannot be legally transported — and spreading the weight evenly. Call when it is done; the truck comes back, loads it and hauls it, covered or tarped the way Dothan's code requires (City Code § 82-112) and secured so nothing drops, sifts, leaks or escapes on the road (Code of Ala. § 32-5-76(b)).
Space is the thing to check before you book: about 60 feet of clear space for the truck, a flat surface where possible such as a driveway, gravel pad or paved area, and clear space overhead, free of wires and tree branches. Vehicles and other obstacles are the usual problems. If you will not be home, mark the spot. Any street placement needs permission first — in Dothan, nothing may obstruct a street, sidewalk or alley unless it is there under a valid permit from the City (City Code § 86-1).
What the flat rate includes
We provide flat-rate pricing that typically includes delivery, pickup, disposal and the standard rental time, along with the weight allowance for your size. The price itself depends on the dumpster size, the debris type and weight, the rental duration, the delivery location and the number of pickups or swap-outs — which is why we quote each job rather than publish a price list. Two things can add to it: going over the included weight, when an overage fee may apply based on disposal weight, and keeping the container longer, at an additional daily or weekly fee. We explain all of it on the first call. No hidden charges or surprise fees. Call (334) 686-0763 for a quote.

Roll-off rental around Dothan — where the loads go
Every load goes to an approved disposal or recycling facility that is allowed to take it, and concrete, metal, asphalt, cardboard and yard debris are separated for recycling whenever possible. Alabama decides what those facilities may take: regulated hazardous waste may not go to an ordinary non-hazardous landfill (ADEM 335-13-4-.21(1)(h)), every permitted landfill screens incoming loads for free liquids, regulated hazardous and medical waste and PCB waste (335-13-4-.21(1)(b)), construction and demolition landfills may not take free liquids (335-13-4-.23), and from 2028 landfills may not take whole tires except incidental ones (335-13-4-.21(1)(i)). Public facilities in the area post their own rules — the Henry County Landfill near Abbeville, for example, takes construction materials, asphalt shingles, sheet rock and untreated lumber but no asbestos, treated lumber, tires, electronics, oil or paint — which is one more reason we ask what is going in before we quote. On the road, every load is covered: Alabama requires trucks hauling garbage and rubbish to be covered, secured or sealed (Code of Ala. § 22-27-3(f)) and any load to be secured so nothing drops or escapes (§ 32-5-76(b)), and Dothan wants solid-waste loads covered or tarped (City Code § 82-112). Our what can and cannot go in guide says where the rest goes.
Answers
Roll-Off Dumpster Rental — your questions answered
What is the difference between a roll-off and a regular dumpster?
A regular dumpster is a permanent container emptied on a route. A roll-off is a temporary open-top container delivered for a project and hauled away when you are done. Roll-offs are what we do.
How full can I load it?
All debris must stay level with or below the top edge. Overfilled dumpsters cannot be legally transported, and spreading the weight evenly helps ensure a safe pickup. If you need more room, call and we can swap it or add a second container.
Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?
No. As long as we have clear instructions on where the dumpster should go and the area is free of vehicles and obstacles, you do not need to be there. The same goes for pickup.
How quickly can you deliver?
Same-day or next-day when availability allows. Call before noon for the best chance of same-day.
Can I not just haul it to the dump myself?
You can, for a few loads — but cover and secure the load, because Alabama law requires it (Code of Ala. § 32-5-76(b)), and check what the facility takes first. City of Dothan homes can put yard waste and bulk items curbside in one pile, but the City does not take construction or demolition debris, tires or commercial waste. A roll-off is the option when the job is more than a couple of trips, or you would rather not make them.
What does a roll-off cost in Dothan?
It depends on the size, the debris type and weight, the rental duration, the delivery location and the number of pickups or swap-outs, so we quote each job rather than publish a price list. The quote is flat-rate and typically covers delivery, pickup, disposal and the standard rental period, with a weight allowance — about 1 to 2 tons on a 10 yard, up to 5 to 6 on a 40. Call (334) 686-0763 with the address and what is going in and you will have a number before you hang up.
