Roll-off dumpster rental in Enterprise
Approx. 31 road miles from the yard, around 43 minutes.
Enterprise is approx. 31 road miles west of the yard, around 43 minutes — the longest run on our list. Same-day or next-day delivery depending on availability, once the City's rules for the job are checked. It is a city of 28,711 at the 2020 Census — 28,094 in Coffee County and 617 in Dale County.
The City Sanitation Department collects household garbage (§ 13-72(a)), but building debris such as scrap lumber, plaster, roofing, concrete and brick, plus dirt and rocks, “will not be removed by the sanitation department” — the owner has it privately removed (§ 13-80), and contractors handle the trash they generate (§ 13-72(b)(16)). Coffee County's 2024 Solid Waste Management Plan says construction and demolition material in Enterprise goes through a private waste handler of each person's choice. That's the roll-off job.

Local knowledge
Getting our bearings in Enterprise
Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.
- Building debris — the owner has it privately removed (§ 13-80); each contractor or subcontractor handles the trash it generates (§ 13-72(b)(16)).
- Franchise fees — the City's business licence schedule says commercial waste collection companies must also remit franchise fees under Resolution 12-2-97.
- Street permit — obstructing a street, sidewalk or public way needs a written permit from the City, issued by the mayor, with safeguards and red lights at night (§ 18-30).
- Truck route — heavy vehicles use the Boll Weevil Circle (Highways 84, 167 and 192), with an exemption for deliveries to people in the city (§ 19-8).
- Fire-damaged buildings — owners clear the rubbish or remains within 30 days after the insurance is adjusted (§ 6-8).
- Drop-offs for residents — the Public Works shop, 529 Glover Ave, takes oil, grease, transmission fluid, batteries and tires (for a fee).
What comes out of Enterprise properties
Roofing in 10s and 20s, remodels and home clean-outs in 20s, estate clean-outs and larger renovations in 30s, and commercial construction or demolition in 40s. A fire-damaged building has to be cleared within 30 days after the insurance is adjusted (§ 6-8) — tell us the deadline when you book.
What goes in: wood, drywall, flooring, furniture, household junk, yard waste, roofing shingles, branches and brush, construction debris and small non-hazardous appliances. What doesn't: paints and solvents, oils and fuels, tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, medical waste, gas cylinders, propane tanks, flammable materials and refrigerators that still hold refrigerant — that's our own list, not a state ban. Alabama's rules: regulated hazardous waste can't go to an ordinary non-hazardous landfill (ADEM 335-13-4-.21(1)(h)), every permitted landfill screens loads for free liquids, regulated hazardous, medical and PCB wastes (335-13-4-.21(1)(b)), free liquids are barred at construction and demolition landfills (335-13-4-.23(1)), and carrying more than eight scrap tires at once needs an ADEM transporter permit (Code of Ala. § 22-40A-7). Our what can and can't go in a dumpster in Alabama guide covers the rest. Coffee County Landfill, 7733 Highway 125 in Elba, is the public landfill with a construction and demolition area; it takes construction and demolition waste, commercial solid waste, stumps and trees, but not tires or used oil. Coffee County stopped its roll-off service for residents and most businesses on 1 July 2023.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Enterprise
Who may haul — read this first: every business in the city and its police jurisdiction needs a City business licence (§ 7-1), and the City's licence schedule lists “Commercial Waste Collection Companies” (562111) as “also required to remit Franchise Fees under Resolution 12-2-97.” The resolution isn't online, and it sets a fee on collectors, not an exclusive franchise. Building debris is the owner's to have privately removed (§ 13-80). We check the City's rules before booking a container in Enterprise. We're licensed and insured.
In the street: “No person shall obstruct or encumber any of the streets, sidewalks or other public ways of the city without a written permit from the city and only in cases of necessity” (§ 18-30(a)). The mayor may issue the permit; the obstruction stays next to the property and never past the center line, with suitable safeguards and red lights on or around it at night (§ 18-30(b)). No obstructing a street with boxes, barrels or other things (§ 18-36). We found no form or fee online. Driveway first. You don't need to be home as long as we have clear instructions on where it goes and the spot is free of vehicles and obstacles. Allow approximately 60 feet of access for the truck; we use protective boards when needed to help prevent driveway damage.
Trucks and parking: heavy vehicles use the Boll Weevil Circle — Highways 84, 167 and 192 — except to deliver to people living or doing business in the city (§ 19-8), and heavy vehicles may not park on residential streets (§ 19-9). We plan the route to your address.
State highways: for a street that is a state highway, the City sends people to the State Highway Department, 334-347-8166. ALDOT says any use of the state right-of-way other than normal vehicle traffic is prohibited without its written permission (Permit Manual 11.2), and its manual has no dumpster or container permit — so beside a state or US highway the container goes on private property, never in the right-of-way. We check the exact address.
Covered loads: Enterprise wants refuse hauled through its streets secured and covered (§ 13-84). Alabama bars driving a vehicle on a highway unless it's built or loaded so nothing drops, sifts, leaks or escapes (Code of Ala. § 32-5-76(b)), and trucks hauling garbage and rubbish must be covered, secured or sealed (§ 22-27-3(f)). Keep debris level with or below the top edge — an overfilled container can't legally be hauled.
Remodel or tear-down: ADEM wants a 10-day notification before any demolition, with or without asbestos, and before a renovation that removes at least 260 linear feet, 160 square feet or 35 cubic feet of regulated asbestos-containing material. Privately owned homes of four or fewer units that stay residential are exempt, unless they're part of a larger project. Friable asbestos goes out as special waste whatever the amount, and regulated asbestos is removed by an ADEM-certified abatement contractor. Asbestos never goes in our containers; tell us if you find any.

How it works
Booking a dumpster in Enterprise
Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.
Step 1: Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask the address in Dothan or the town around it, what you are clearing — a cleanout, a renovation, a roof, a yard, a job site — what is going in, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us.
Step 2: We size it and quote it flat
We recommend the right size, so you do not pay for space you will not use or run out of room, and you get a flat-rate quote that covers delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard rental period and an included weight allowance. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.
Step 3: Delivered where you want it
The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, on a flat, solid surface rather than the lawn, with protective boards on request. Often same-day or next-day, when availability allows. You do not need to be home if the spot is marked and clear.
Step 4: Load it at your pace
Keep it level with or below the top edge and keep the problem items out — paint and solvents, oil and fuel, hazardous chemicals, batteries, tires, propane tanks and gas cylinders, flammable materials, medical waste, asbestos, and appliances still holding refrigerant. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call.
Step 5: We pick it up and handle the disposal
Call when it is full or the job is done and we schedule a prompt pickup. The load is covered or tarped for the road and goes to an approved disposal or recycling facility, with metal, concrete, cardboard and yard debris recycled whenever possible.

Local answers
Dumpster rental in Enterprise — common questions
Can I get a roll-off in Enterprise?
Building debris is the owner's to have privately removed (City Code Sec. 13-80), but commercial waste collection companies pay City franchise fees under Resolution 12-2-97. We check the City's rules before booking a container in Enterprise. Call (334) 686-0763.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in an Enterprise street?
Yes. Obstructing a street, sidewalk or public way needs a written permit from the City, which the mayor may issue, with safeguards and red lights at night (Sec. 18-30). A driveway avoids it.
Where does construction debris go in Coffee County?
The Coffee County Landfill in Elba is the public landfill, with a construction and demolition area. It doesn't take tires or used oil.
How far is Enterprise from your yard?
About 31 road miles, around 43 minutes (approx.), west of the yard on Wise Dr in Dothan.
