Nature of our service

Southern Steel Dumpsters provides temporary roll-off dumpster rentals for residential, commercial and construction projects in Dothan, Alabama and the surrounding Houston County and Wiregrass communities — home cleanouts, renovation debris, roofing projects, construction waste, yard waste cleanup and junk removal. Depending on availability, project scope and location, we may provide the rental directly or connect you with an independent local dumpster rental provider ("Service Provider") able to fulfil the request. When you request a quote, call us or submit information through the website, your information may be shared with one or more Service Providers capable of handling your project. We do not operate disposal facilities or landfills. Each Service Provider operates independently and is solely responsible for its own pricing, scheduling, delivery and pickup, customer service, waste disposal practices, licensing and insurance, and performance. Every rental depends on dumpster availability, the delivery location, the rental duration, the type of material and local and state rules.

Acceptance of terms

By using this website or contacting us by phone, email or online form, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, that you have authority to request dumpster rental services for the property involved, that you will use our website and services only for lawful purposes, and that you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

No guarantee of service

We work to provide dependable dumpster rental, but we do not guarantee dumpster availability at all times or in all locations; availability varies with demand and scheduling, delivery and completion times are estimates and are not guaranteed, pricing and rental terms may vary with the project, the provider and the location, and weather, traffic, facility restrictions or local regulations may affect scheduling. Same-day and next-day delivery depend on availability. Where a Service Provider handles your rental, the work is performed by that provider, any agreement about the rental is made directly between you and that provider, and we are not responsible for scheduling conflicts, service interruptions, delivery delays, missed appointments or disputes arising from it.

Information collection and sharing

When you request a quote, submit a form, call our number or book a service, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, project details and dumpster rental requirements. You agree to provide accurate information. This information is used to provide service and is shared only with those who need it to fulfil your request, such as a payment processor or a relevant Service Provider. Payments and pricing

Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and vary with the dumpster size, the type and weight of the debris, the rental duration, the delivery location and any additional rental days, pickups, swap-outs or overage charges. Please review your quote before booking. Our flat-rate pricing typically includes delivery, pickup, disposal fees, the standard rental period and an included weight allowance; if a load exceeds the included weight, an overage fee may apply based on disposal weight, and extra rental days are charged as quoted. We are not responsible for charges caused by overloaded containers, prohibited materials, extended rental periods or inaccessible delivery locations. We accept major credit and debit cards, and payment is generally collected when the rental is scheduled, to reserve your delivery date. Southern Steel Dumpsters handles pricing for the services we provide directly. Where a Service Provider handles the rental, payment may be processed directly between you and that provider, and quotes, billing, refunds, extensions, cancellation fees and any overage charges are between you and that provider; we are not responsible for that provider's pricing discrepancies, billing disputes, refund requests or overage fees.

Rental periods and extensions

The standard rental period is typically 3 to 7 days unless your quote states otherwise. Extensions may be available on request for an additional daily or weekly fee, depending on availability, and swap-outs can be arranged for ongoing projects. Please call before the rental period ends if you need more time, and call when you finish so we can schedule pickup.

Use of the container

You are responsible for providing a safe, accessible placement area on a flat, solid surface, with about 60 feet of clear approach for the truck and clear overhead space; for keeping all debris level with or below the top edge and spreading the weight evenly — overfilled containers cannot be legally transported; for keeping clear access for pickup; and for keeping prohibited materials out. Do not place paints, solvents, oils, fuel or other hazardous liquids, hazardous chemicals, batteries, tires, propane tanks, gas cylinders or other pressurized tanks, flammable materials, medical waste, asbestos-containing materials, or refrigerators and other appliances still holding refrigerant unless properly prepared, in the container. Alabama keeps regulated hazardous waste out of non-hazardous landfills (ADEM 335-13-4-.21(1)(h)) and free liquids out of construction and demolition landfills (ADEM 335-13-4-.23), and regulated asbestos has to be removed by an ADEM-certified abatement contractor. Yard waste is best kept in its own load. You are responsible for overloaded or blocked containers.

Property and placement

We take precautions to minimize the risk of property damage during delivery and pickup, and protective boards can be used beneath the container on request. You are responsible for choosing a safe, accessible placement area and for telling us before delivery about any surface or overhead concern. Some customers place plywood or wooden boards beneath the wheels for added protection.

Permits and local compliance

In the City of Dothan, it is unlawful to place, keep or maintain boxes, rubbish or other articles on a sidewalk, street, alley or public way where they may obstruct it, unless under a valid permit from the City (City of Dothan Code § 86-1), and placing soil, trash, limbs or debris on a street requires a written permit from the City Engineer or the Public Works Director (§ 86-8). ALDOT prohibits any use of state right-of-way other than normal vehicular traffic without its written permission, so containers are not placed on state highway right-of-way. Other cities, towns and counties have their own rules, and some license haulers or keep collection for their own systems. If your dumpster will be placed on a street or other public property, you are responsible for securing any required permit from the City of Dothan or the appropriate local authority, and for following HOA requirements. We can help explain placement requirements, but final responsibility remains with the customer.

Service provider responsibility

When a Service Provider is involved, it operates as an independent business or contractor and is responsible for maintaining proper licenses and insurance; following local, state and federal regulations; safe delivery and pickup of the container; proper waste disposal; job-site safety and operational compliance; and obtaining necessary permits when applicable. Southern Steel Dumpsters does not supervise or control the daily operations of independent providers and is not liable for their conduct, actions, scheduling or performance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Southern Steel Dumpsters, its owners, affiliates, employees and partners are not liable for property damage, personal injury or financial loss arising from services provided by third parties; service interruptions, delayed deliveries or missed pickups; disputes involving third-party providers; improper loading or use of a container; failure to follow local laws or permit rules; weather, accidents or unexpected delays; or errors or inaccuracies in the content of this website. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Use of our website and services is at your own risk, and customers are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance coverage.

No warranties

The website, referrals and our services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including about the quality of services provided by third-party companies, the availability of dumpster rental services, the accuracy of pricing information, website functionality or uninterrupted access, or the suitability of any service for a specific purpose. Please verify service details before you book.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Southern Steel Dumpsters, its owners, employees, affiliates and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, expenses or legal fees arising from your use of this website or our services, your use of referral services or agreements with Service Providers, improper use of a rented container, disposal of prohibited materials, violations of local disposal regulations, or a violation of these terms.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, and any legal dispute relating to these terms or the use of this website or our services is resolved in the appropriate courts serving Houston County, Alabama. We may revise these terms from time to time to reflect operational, legal or policy changes; the current version is posted here with its revised effective date, and continued use of the website or our services after that means you accept the changes.
