Our story
Southern Steel Dumpsters
Southern Steel Dumpsters was built on a simple goal: provide honest, straightforward dumpster rental that local property owners can count on — fair pricing, dependable scheduling and responsive customer service. So the company is built around a local-first approach — professionalism, clear communication and reliability. Upfront flat-rate pricing with no hidden fees or surprise charges, clean and well-maintained containers, and a real local team that answers the phone.
Today we serve homeowners, businesses, property managers, contractors and construction crews across Dothan and sixteen more towns — garage cleanouts and remodeling debris, roofing waste, commercial junk removal and large construction cleanups, from residential cleanouts near the Garden District and projects around Ross Clark Circle to job sites out to Enterprise, Ozark and Abbeville.
How a job actually works
You call. We ask what you are clearing, where it will sit and roughly how much there is. We recommend the right size and give you a flat-rate quote that covers delivery, pickup, disposal and the standard rental period to an included weight, and we tell you honestly whether it is same-day or next-day for your address. The driver sets the container where you asked, on a flat, solid surface. You load it level with or below the top edge. You call when it is full or the job is done, and we schedule a prompt pickup and handle the disposal.
The things that make that work are boring and deliberate: dependable scheduling and pickup communication, clean containers, and a rule that we say the hard thing on the phone — a street placement that needs the City's permit first, a weight problem, a concrete load that will blow the allowance, a fridge that has to be properly prepared, an ADEM demolition notice, a hauling rule in the next town — rather than on your driveway.
Our crew
From the yard to the dispatch desk
The containers, the trucks and the people who schedule your drop, swap and pickup.
Why local, not a national chain
Southern Steel Dumpsters is not a large national chain. We are a locally focused company based in the City of Dothan, and the number on this site is answered by a local team that understands Dothan, the towns around it and the cleanup projects common here. That matters: seventeen towns across five counties, each with its own rules about where a container can sit and who may haul — from Dothan's rule against obstructing a street without a valid City permit, to Ozark's and Abbeville's street-obstruction bans, Hartford's City licence for construction debris pickup, Enterprise's franchise fees for commercial waste collection companies, and the commercial collection Ozark and Ashford keep for the City. Knowing them is the difference between a smooth delivery and a box that cannot go where you wanted it.
We also know the driveways — which drives have room for a 20, which older lots near downtown need a careful approach, which job sites need a plan for the truck. And we proudly support local builders, roofers, remodelers and small businesses with dependable dumpster rental.
What we stand on
The things we will not trade away
A real person answers
No call center, no middlemen. The number on this site gets picked up by a local team member who can size and schedule the job in one call.
Your property comes first
Professional drivers who respect your property, careful placement on a flat, solid surface, and protective boards on request. If a site needs a different approach, the driver tells you before delivery, not after.
Honest sizing
If a 10 yard is the right box for your rubble, that is what we quote — not the 20 because it costs more.
Responsible disposal
We work with approved disposal and recycling facilities to reduce unnecessary landfill waste, recycle metal, concrete, cardboard and yard debris whenever possible, and never bury a not-accepted item in a mixed load.
Transparent pricing
Delivery, pickup, disposal and the standard rental period to an included weight, in one flat-rate quote before the truck leaves the yard. No hidden fees.
Answered around the clock
The phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for bookings, swaps, extensions and early pickups.
